Student Bar Association Legal Clinic Fundamental Legal Education Service Society

1.Student Bar Association
@@The Student Bar Association is the student governing body of the law school. It is formed by agroup of outstanding and enthusiastic students to comprise a framework for communication among students, and between the student body and the administration of the law school. The Student Bar Association also organizes student activities, lectures and various social events throughout the year. In order to enhance friendship, communication and cooperation among students, the Student Bar Association has actively participated in inter-university, inter-school, and inter-departmental activities.

2.Legal Clinic
@@Based on the philosophy of "learning through serving" and "propagating the spirit in the rule of law", Soochow University School of Law has established a legal clinic to provide students an opportunity to work as a lawyer under the supervision of 100 practicing attorneys who are alumni. The legal clinic offers a variety of legal services to the general public, and teach students how to resolve difficult legal issues. During summer and winter terms, the legal clinic will sponsor an activity to provide legal services to people living in other parts of the country. This kind of activityhelps law students to get a better understanding of the substance of law they have learned in class by applying them on the legal works they participate. The activity also help law students to gain some valuable hand-on experience in the legal practice.(more)

3.Fundamental Legal Education Service Society
@@Recognizing the need of teaching proper concept of law to the general public and helping the general public to obey the law under the sweeping political and social changes in Taiwan, the Fundamental Legal Education Service Society was formed by students of Soochow University School of Law in 1991. Based on the philosophy of "learning through serving" and "propagating the spirit in the rule of law", the Fundamental Legal Education Service Society provides legal services and legal education to the younger generation.(more)
