Student Activities
Extracurricular Activities
- Student associations fall into two categories:
civic (e.g. Soochow Student Association, Graduating Student Association, Student Representative Assembly, Departmental Student Associations etc.) and general (e.g. artistic, academic, athletic, and social service clubs).
There are altogether 183 student clubs or societies. Students' specific knowledge, leadership training, and inter-personal relationships are strengthened through their participation in the fore-mentioned student associations. Although the Extracurricular Activity Division offers technical and financial support to all the student associations, autonomy is the rule.

Athletic Activities
Physical education is aimed at familiarizing students with recreational skills and developing their athletic potential. In the first semester of each academic year, during Athletic Week,
ball games are held among first year students to enhance their teamwork and to select school team members. In the second semester, an athletic meet is held on the Founding Day of the University in addition to inter-departmental ball games. All kinds of ball games are also held among faculty and staff members on an annual basis to promote rapport and affinity among them.
Religious Activities
Religious tolerance is practiced throughout our campus.
The Chaplain's Office offers Sunday school, Women's fellowship, Bible studies groups, and a flower arrangement club, and youth and married couple fellowship to members of the neighboring communities as well as to the faculty and students.
Health Care
The Health Clinics on both campuses provide free outpatient treatment of minor illnesses or injuries. Health-consciousness programs are held on a regular basis.
