The Center has three divisions,
the system development division, the network & maintenance
division and the administration & consultation division.
The Center is responsible for the planning and development
of computing for the school administrative system. It
maintains nine computer classrooms with a total of 537
computers. The classrooms are for both teaching and
practice purposes, open to students. The Downtown Campus
has set up two computer classrooms with tele-conference
facilities, supporting multimedia Internet services.
Satellite TV channels are also
available for foreign language teaching.
Dial up network is available to faculty and students.
Various Internet programs, like e-mail, bulletin board
and a Web server, are provided. There are Internet nodes
as well as Wireless Access nodes on both campuses. The
latter ones cover conference rooms, classrooms, living
areas and Libraries. The computer center is also making
an effort to set up guidelines for website design. The
key points are to regulate the appearances and functionality
and eventually to establish a consistent image for the
school website.
