Welcome to Soochow University Language Center

The Language Center has three responsibilities:

   1. Teaching English to all non-English majors
   2. Managing the school’s language classroom equipment
   3. Providing various self-access foreign language learning activities

On teaching: The Language Center offers the required Freshman English and Sophomore English courses, as well as the elective Junior English. In order to help students meet grade requirements, the Center also provides online remedial instruction as well as counseling services courtesy of our dedicated teachers.

On managing: The Language Center manages and maintains the school’s language classrooms. It assists teachers from the English, Japanese, and German departments, as well as from the Center itself, with using the various equipment. It also manages the Foreign Language Self-access Laboratory’s equipment and teaching materials.
